Welcome to Talabre, a platform operated by Editorial Talabre, designed for researchers, academics, students, communities, universities, hospitals, funders, and scientific journals. By using www.talabre.com, you agree to these Terms of Service, which govern access to and use of our services, including the upload, storage, certification (Basic, Standard, Advanced, Elite), and publication of scientific resources (datasets, presentations, PDFs, etc.). These terms align with GDPR, LGPD, HIPAA, ISO 27001/27002/27017/27018/27005, FAIR, DORA, CARE, Open Science, CC Licenses, COAR, ORCID, and Dublin Core.

1. Use of the Platform

1.1. Eligibility: You must be over 18 or have legal guardian authorization to use Talabre.
1.2. Account: You must register with a valid email and, optionally, an ORCID iD (mandatory for Standard, Advanced, Elite certificates). You are responsible for securing your account.
1.3. Permitted Use: You may upload, certify, and publish scientific resources, complying with regulations (GDPR, LGPD, HIPAA) and ethical standards (CARE, DORA).
1.4. Prohibited Use: Do not upload illegal, malicious, or infringing content (e.g., data without consent). Talabre may suspend accounts for violations.

2. Talabre Services

2.1. Upload and Storage: Enables uploading datasets, presentations, PDFs, and other resources, stored on secure servers (USA, EU, Brazil, Germany) with AES-256 encryption.

3. Intellectual Property

3.1. Your Resources: You retain ownership of uploaded resources. By uploading, you grant Talabre a non-exclusive license to store, certify, and publish metadata (e.g., DOI, ORCID) per your license (e.g., CC BY).
3.2. Talabre Content: Certificates, templates, and Compliance Kits are Talabre’s property. Do not copy or distribute without permission.

4. Regulatory Compliance

4.1. Sensitive Data: You are responsible for ensuring resources comply with GDPR, LGPD, HIPAA, and ethical standards (CARE, DORA). Talabre validates compliance in higher-tier certificates, supported by BAA/DPA agreements.
4.2. Security: Talabre protects data with encryption, audits, and ISO 27001/27002/27017/27018/27005 controls. Report incidents at www.talabre.com/complaints.

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1. Talabre is not liable for losses from improper platform use, resource errors, or service interruptions, except in cases of gross negligence.
5.2. Certificates reflect Talabre’s validation but do not guarantee the accuracy of author-provided data.

6. Termination

6.1. You may close your account by contacting support@talabre.com. Talabre may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms.
6.2. Upon account closure, resources and metadata may be deleted, except for public DOIs or legal requirements.

7. Changes to the Terms

We may update these terms to reflect legal or technical changes. The latest version will be available at www.talabre.com/help, with notifications via email (support@talabre.com).

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile, with disputes resolved in the courts of Viña del Mar, unless GDPR, LGPD, or HIPAA require specific jurisdictions.
